I am thrilled for the opportunity to combine my passion for both motherhood and leading a healthy, active lifestyle! I started Stroller Strides when Dawson was 4 months old and was immediately hooked. I found a community that supported motherhood and made staying healthy themselves a priority. I look forward to building that community here in Lexington!

I recently relocated to the Lexington, KY area and was excited to become involved in the Lexington Stroller Strides family here. I have been a participant in the program since my son was born participating in both the Honolulu and Tampa locations. I have a passion for fitness and for my family, and this program enables me to enjoy both these passions. I strongly believe in this program both for the fitness and support aspects they provide moms and families. I look forward to meeting and working with all the moms and am excited to help contribute to growing this community in Lexington.

I'm Kelsey the new playgroup captain!

I have an elementary ed degree from UK and taught preschool for four years until Gemma was born. Growing up, I always wanted to be a teacher and I spent most of my days playing school. I love creating new activities and things to do with my own kids and I also help run the LMNOP local playgroup...through that I have hosted lots of themed play dates at my house, planned holiday events and scheduled meet ups at various places around town.

My fit4mom story...

One day, I met up with some friends to explore the park. We happened to pull up right around what I know now is the end of a stroller strides class. I remember seeing a bunch of moms circled around stretching with their babes in strollers. I immediately went home, googles and I knew right away I wanted to sign up. I was a cheerleader in high school and very active, but ever since I had my girls, I hadn't worked out for even a second- well unless you count sprinting across the room to stop a toddler from stomping play doh in the carpet, or racing through the grocery store with a toddler screaming for all the junk food. I came to my first class, and called my hubby on the way home telling him how much I loved it. And from then I was hooked! I love that stroller strides gives me the opportunity to work out without having to leave my mommy-loving children!

I am very much looking forward to the playgroup captain position! I miss being in the classroom so much, and can't wait to bring some ideas to the group. I am excited to explore with engaging activities, and watch all the kids grow and learn at each and every class!
